The Level 1 exam contains two parts as described below.
The exam will test your proficiencies in the core capabilities of FreeFlyer with a stronger focus on what are considered fundamental topics. The following list gives the exact number of questions in Exam Part A related to each of the core capabilities of FreeFlyer.

Exam Part B’s focus is on the fundamental topics of spacecraft propagation, generating output, and FreeFlyer scripting. In this practical part of the exam you will have to use the FreeFlyer software to answer the questions.

To pass the exam, you will need to score 70% or higher overall across both portions of the exam. You may immediately take the exam a second time if you do not pass on the first attempt, and take it a third time after waiting a week if you do not pass the second attempt. If any attempts are required beyond that, please contact the FreeFlyer Tech Support team directly.
In order to take the FreeFlyer Level 2 certification, please first complete the Level 1 certification.
